3. Data categories
For the functionality of the game we store the following data:
- the user name you selected when opening the application
- the museum where you play
The following data is stored for the research module:
- Duration of the activity of the app
- Duration of use of the app
- Playing time
- Decisions in the game
- Decision duration
- Quests started and finished
- Quests that have been started and not finished
- Applied "Perspectives”
- Donation of objects to other users
Further data will not be stored, processed or required by us.
The data collected for the research module is at no time associated with the assigned user name. It is therefore not possible to draw any conclusions about your person.
Photos taken within the game are neither transmitted nor can they be viewed by others; they are only stored locally on the device. The specified, freely selectable user name is transmitted to the game server and is used exclusively for temporary display within the game for other players.
4. Legal basis and purpose of data processing
The storage of the selected name and the museum in which the user is located is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO and is necessary for the intended operation of the application.
The data storage of the data collected by the research module is based on the consent of the user, Art. 6 para. 1 lit a DSGVO.
5. Storage duration
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. This is the case for the user name and the museum in which the user is located when the app is uninstalled from the device. The data collected for the research module will be deleted after its scientific evaluation, but at the latest after 5 years.
6. Recipients
The data is stored on behalf of the Leibniz Association on the servers of Playersjourney UG, a transfer is not intended.
7. Your rights as a data subject
Under the conditions of Art. 15-18, Art. 20, 21 DSGVO, you have a right to information, to the correction or deletion of your personal data, to the restriction of processing as well as to data portability and objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us (Art. 77 DSGVO in conjunction with § 19 BDSG). 8. Google Analytics
Google Analytics is used to collect and share usage data of the game in a structured way. No personal data is collected and no cookies are stored in the process. The use of Google Analytics and all data collection methods used in the game includes the activation times and duration of the app, the selection of individual museums, start of quests, collection of objects, decisions on story cards, completion of quests, and objects sent and received from other players. This data is recorded with timestamps accurate to the second and assigned to unique user IDs. It is not possible to trace the user IDs back to e-mail addresses, IP addresses or clear names.
9. Server of the Playersjourney UG
The servers of Playersjourney UG are located in Frankfurt and are exclusively subject to German law.
