Climate change, biodiversity loss and social change are central issues of our time. In particular, climate change and migration are preoccupy — and polarize — people all over the world.

What role do research museums play in dealing with social crises? How do museums participate in educating people about science? To what extent should museums contribute to strengthening an evidence-based, thoughtful society in the future?

These questions were discussed from various angels at the digital kick-off event in October 2020. After the discussion junior researchers from several Leibniz Research Museums provided entertaining insights into their recent findings in a Science Slam.
